Types and scope of application of Bailey steel bridge

Due to its simple structure and fast erection speed, Bailey Bridge is widely used in national defense combat readiness, traffic engineering, and municipal water conservancy projects. It is the most widely used assembled steel bridge in my country. It has the characteristics of simple structure, convenient transportation, quick erection, large load capacity, good interchangeability, and strong adaptability.
There are two main types of Bailey steel bridges, namely the 321 Bailey bridge and the 200 Bailey bridge.
Type 321 prefabricated steel bridge Scope of application: single lane, clear bridge deck width: 3.7m combined span: 9-75m
Type 200 prefabricated steel bridge Scope of application: single lane, clear bridge deck width: 4.2m combined span: 9.14-76.2m
Double-lane bridge deck clear width: 7.4m combined span: 9.14-57.9m
The Type 321 prefabricated steel bridge is a fast-assembled bridge designed by the Highway Planning and Design Institute of the Ministry of Communications on the basis of the British Bailey truss bridge in combination with my country’s national conditions and actual conditions. It is a decomposable and quickly erected standard bridge. The full bridge is made of high-strength steel and fully welded. The main girder is a decomposable light truss. The trusses are connected by a single pin. The components are interchangeable. The weight is light. It is easy to transport and disassemble. It can also be installed according to the span and load requirements. Assembled into various types of prefabricated steel bridges, it is a relatively complete combined prefabricated steel bridge for emergency traffic support that is widely used. It is suitable for 5 types of loads: car-10, car-15, car-20, crawler-50, trailer-80.
In addition to being assembled into a single-lane highway bridge, the 200-type prefabricated steel bridge can also be assembled into a two-lane highway bridge, thereby expanding the scope of use of the bridge. It is suitable for load design of car-10, car-20, hs15, hs20, crawler-50.
