The Scope And Characteristics Of Mechanical Galvanizing
Jun 25, 2021
Mechanical galvanizing is also called spin galvanizing. It is a relatively mature plating method that has recently emerged. This plating method has no high temperature, no exhaust gas emissions, and non-toxic additives. It combines glass balls, accelerators, zinc powder and plating parts. Put it in an octagonal plastic roller, relying on the friction and hammering between the plated part and the plated part, and the plated part and the glass ball, the zinc powder is "cold pressed" onto the surface of the plated part, but the glass ball is not added. The accelerator will not be deposited on the plated parts, and the zinc layer will be plated.
Mechanical galvanizing is mainly suitable for small hardware such as studs, nuts, washers, steel nails, oblique buckles, anchor chains, etc. The thickness of the coating can be increased or decreased according to customer requirements, the cost can be adjusted, the galvanizing equipment is simple, and the floor space is small. Advantages such as low and easy operation.
Features of mechanical galvanizing:
1. The thickness of the coating is uniform, no zinc tumors, burrs, silver-white semi-gloss;
2. The thickness is all controllable and can be selected arbitrarily within 5-125μm;
3. No hydrogen embrittlement, no temperature hazard, which can ensure that the mechanical properties of the material remain unchanged;
4. It can replace some processes that require hot-dip galvanizing;
5. Good corrosion resistance, neutral salt spray test can reach 300-1500 hours.
6. It will not produce bad quality such as mutual adhesion and unevenness of hot-dip electroplating. Therefore, the bolts and nuts do not need too large tolerances to ensure their strength.
