What Is The Basic Difference Of I-beam Bridge
Nov 27, 2021
I-beam bridges are mainly divided into three types: ordinary I-beam, light I-beam, and low-alloy light I-beam.
Ordinary I-beam and light-duty I-beam flanges are variable cross-sections that rely on the web part to be thick, and the outside is thin; H-beam: HW HM HN HEA HEB HEM and other I-beam flanges are constant cross-section
Ordinary I-beams and light I-beams have formed national standards. Ordinary 10# I-beams are equivalent to the international I100 (also for example 10# channel steel is equivalent to channel U100) (because the standards implemented by various countries are different, they cause their (The specifications are slightly different)
H-shaped I-beams are also called wide-flange I-beams. HW, HM, HN are derived from European standards, and HEB is German-standard I-beams. Among them, HW and HN I-beams have been widely used and produced in China. HEA HEB HEM can be seen on many German design drawings, but it is still difficult to buy in the domestic market. In domestic steel structure projects, if the quantity is small, steel plates of the same specifications can be used for welding and splicing. If the quantity is large, it is usually considered to use HW and HN steel with equivalent mechanical properties instead.
HW I-beam is mainly used for steel core column in reinforced concrete frame structure column, also known as stiff steel column; in steel structure, it is mainly used for column
The ratio of the height of the HM section steel to the width of the flange is approximately 1.33~~1.75. It is mainly used as a steel frame column in a steel structure, and as a frame beam in a frame structure under dynamic load; for example: equipment platform
The ratio of the height of the HN section steel to the width of the flange is greater than or equal to 2; mainly used for beams
The purpose of ordinary I-beam is equivalent to HN steel;
◆Whether the I-shaped steel is ordinary or light, because the cross-section size is relatively high and narrow, the moment of inertia of the two main axes of the cross-section is quite different, so it can only be directly used for bending in the plane of its web. Or combine them into a lattice-type force-bearing member. It is not suitable to use axial compression members or members that are perpendicular to the plane of the web and have bending, which makes the application range very limited.
◆H-shaped steel is a high-efficiency and economical cutting profile (others include cold-formed thin-walled steel, profiled steel, etc.). Due to the reasonable cross-sectional shape, they can make the steel more effective and improve the carrying capacity. Different from ordinary I-shaped steel, the flange of h-shaped steel has been widened, and the inner and outer surfaces are usually parallel, which can facilitate the connection with high-strength bolts and other components. Its size composition series are reasonable, and the models are complete, which is convenient for design and selection.
