Temporary Bridge For Emergency Hospital Project

The government has decided to assist in the construction of emergency hospitals and makeshift hospitals. The temporary steel structure trestle is an important part of the emergency hospital project.

The two steel trestle bridges, 159.1 meters long and 18 meters wide, with two-way four-lane lanes and sidewalks on both sides, start from Shenzhen Huanggang Port in the east, cross the Shenzhen River, and connect to the Lok Ma Chau Loop in Hong Kong.

Carry out the piling operation of the steel trestle on the floating crane, fix the supporting piles of the bridge under water, and coordinate the laying of the Bailey sheet to ensure that the piles are evenly stressed. At first, 12 16-meter steel pipe piles were driven on the site, but because the silt was too deep and the pile body was not long enough, it was not realistic to pull out the piles from scratch. In order not to delay the follow-up construction period, the entire team made a decisive decision and switched to a 24-meter pile, and cut off the excess part later.

In the construction drawing design draft in February, the use time of the steel trestle bridge was tentatively set for 45 days. After the construction of the side cabin hospital in Hong Kong is completed, the trestle bridge will be dismantled one after another and the river channel will be restored to navigation. Although the time limit is short, it does not prevent it from becoming the "bridge of life" in Jiang Wei's eyes - in order to build a land of life on a deserted beach, it has opened up a transportation artery.
