What are the classification methods of Bailey Bridge

According to the plane shape of the bridge, it can be divided into orthogonal bridge, skew bridge and curved bridge.

1. Orthogonal bridge: the bridge center line of the orthogonal bridge is orthogonal to the flow direction of the main channel (or the center line of the crossed line).

2. Oblique bridge: The center line of the oblique bridge obliquely intersects with the flow direction of the main channel. The degree of skew is generally expressed by the angle of intersection between the center line of the Bailey Bridge and the normal line of the support line. The force and structure of the oblique bridge are more complicated, and the materials are also used.

3. Curved bridge: The curved bridge is a bridge with the main load-bearing structure axis arranged along the curve of the line, and its force and structure are also more complicated; in order to facilitate driving, the bridge deck should be set with super height and widening according to the line requirements.

According to the bridge manufacturing method, it can be divided into concrete cast-in-place bridge and assembly bridge. Our Bailey steel bridges are generally fabricated.

1. Prefabricated bridge: Its advantages can make the bridge manufacturing industrialized and mechanized, reduce costs, increase speed, and ensure the quality.

According to the period of use, it can be divided into temporary bridges, permanent bridges and semi-permanent bridges.

1. Temporary bridge: The temporary bridge is simple in structure and can only be used for a limited short time or to maintain traffic before the permanent bridge is built.

2. Permanent bridge: A permanent bridge is a long-term use bridge and needs to be designed in accordance with the specified design flood frequency, bridge deck width, inspection and maintenance equipment, etc.

3. Semi-permanent bridge: The semi-permanent bridge is generally designed as a permanent bridge in the substructure, while the upper structure is temporary.
