Product structure
The bridge strength of bailey steel bridge is provided by the side plates on both sides of the bridge, the truss plates also known as Bailey plates. The overall structure is typically trussed. The panels are 10 feet long (3.0 meters) and 5 feet high (1.5 meters), cross-braced rectangles that weigh 570 pounds (260 kilograms) each and can be lifted by six men. Bailey panels are made of welded steel. The top and bottom strings of each panel have interlocking convex and concave lugs into which the engineer can insert the panel connecting pins.
